This song is so great, but it's painful... just not about romance at all. To me, it's about the cliche break up games that we all partake in, but this one is extremely hard (because of a meaningful relationship and what not). Brilliant lyrics, just not about the positives of love. |

This song... well this band... sounds like many bands before, older bands that people have forgotten about, like those from the 60's and 70's. It's great that so many people are getting a taste of this classic rock sound, but it surely pisses me off that no one appreciates the originals. Otherwise, this song is good. The lyrics are a downer, but the tune is fun. |

I agree with you grrrlskout. Clarity and Static Prevails were so innovative and original... in fact, some of the best damn music I'd ever heard. In a way, you'd think that a band like Jimmy Eat World would be able to surpass themselves by putting out an ingenius followup, but no. Bleed American is just a half-ass attempt to reclaim greatness. While the hooks are catchy and the lyrics have some underlying meaning, you can find another band out there that can sound exactly like this album. |

this song by far describes everything i've been feeling, it's so to-the-point. I just want love. so very hopeless... the lyrics are great and I just love this song so much. chris is a genius. I mean, "if you were by my side then we could share it but your gone." So very true. I hate love. I love this song.
