No props for settle for nothing huh? Oh well here's mine I'm interested in the progression in the chorus ('read my writing...') the end line of each moves from suicide (killing self) to genocide (killing others) to just plain depresion towards like found in opening ones eyes to the reallity. My drawn conclusion is that the bulk of the song is an example of the wrong way to live. The message pushed entirely by the end stanzas of If we don't take action now We settle for nothing later We'll settle for nothing now And we'll settle for nothing later So pretty Much... Take Action |

By The Way. I think this song is actually a tribute to Fight Club. Like they're singing about what they got from the movie. Espesially Darryls part, Nate's more of a story synopsis Giveaways: 'begin at the ending' - Fight club does that 'I never meant to create you' Edward Nortons Unknamed Character creates Durden on accident when creating an escape or 'Mayhem' from his mundain life. |

Two Points First- GlassJaw is really good, Finch is Really good, that makes this one hell of a good song. if this song confuses you as a stand out on What it is to Burn then go buy a GlassJaw album. Second- Fight Club is one of the greatest movies ever. Project Mayhem was the name of the organization once it grew. |

Wow I was reading this and the Lauch radio thing started playing atreyu. That is pretty cool. Any Poop, I'm a Christian and I think this is a pretty intense song. A little hard to respond to because I'm expecting replies of "HYPOCRITE" but I kinda like the song because it is a Cry of "hypocrite" to the christians of the world. I stopped regularly attending church because of the Hypocracies I saw. The Bible had better answers then the people who pretended to love. Music is for the listener |

Dear Everyone, It would be cool if all genres and such were removed and all we had was "music." True we should probobly seperate the Hard from Soft but no sub genres like melodiCORE Emo-Core Regardless I think Atreyu is an excelent 'Hard' band. Personally I would not critisize the 'screams' as I consider them more chokes. Beautiful, deep, Chokes. |
