Not sure if anyone has said this because I'm too lazy too read all the comments but to me the song seems to be aimed at an ex-girlfriend. He is telling her all about his new girlfriend "it's our time to shine through the down glorified by what is ours we've fallen in love.. we fall in love.. it was the best idea i ever had. " and that the devestation he felt about his ex are now being mended by his new love "today i fell and felt better just knowing this matters, i just feel stronger.. and sharper! i found a box of sharp objects, what a beautiful thing" He is saying that he found a box of sharp objects and it didn't even cross his mind to cut himself like he used to as he just sees it as shiny and beautiful. "do you want a song of glory? well i'm fucking screaming at you " This just finishes it off. He seems to be asking his ex if she thought this song would glorifiy her and the good times he spent and it becomes clear that the first verse is not about her but his new love. |
