A Perfect Circle – The Nurse Who Loved Me (Failure cover) Lyrics 21 years ago
Dude, Failure's version is TERRIBLE.

Anyway, I initially thought this song was about murder. The visualization of someone lying on the carpet, and a metaphor for apples that were "sneezed" out of her nose, really seem to make that case, but after reading a few other meanings, I'm convinced it's about a mental patient in love with a nurse who he believes is doing favors for him by giving him pills and taking care of him... buuuut, I also believe she has a drug addiction of her own, and he has introduced the drugs to her. He seems to be inviting her into something when he says "Say hello to everything you've left behind", and her drug addiction is really the only way I can connect and justification her "sneezing apples" on the ground. Also, the notion of "I'm taking her home with me" seems to suggest the guy becomes incredibly delusional, believing her and him will be married one day.

Indeed. That's it.

Queens of the Stone Age – You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire Lyrics 22 years ago
I think this song is pretty much about the need to drop everything that you're doing, grab a gun, get piss drunk, and do whatever the hell you want in a crazy masochistic orgy of bullets and beer.

I think the lyric "Give me soul or show me the door
Metal heavy, soft at the core" kinda sums it up pretty well. The need to kick ass, and if no one's kicking ass, then they're gonna be the ones doing it.
