i don't think this song is about drugs. loads of molko's songs are about drugs, but it doesn't mean they all are. i think this is about two people who have had their hearts broken and been through so many other relationships that they can't love each other because their love has already been spent. they don't put effort into loving each other, they are just 2gether to say they are in a relationship. they have other relationships (sucker love is known to swing). this song isn't about true love! but i love it!

i think that yea, the smiths was cool, but placebo sung this in a completely different way, they wern't trying to sing it like the smiths, they did it a different way. i think they changed the words from "hearing aid started to melt" in the smiths, to "discman started to melt" in this one, in a way to illistrate how things have changed and technology has developed.

i love this song to pieces, i feel like crying everytime i hear it- if a song can do that to you it must be art! this is my explanation for the song: this person is totally in love with this person, they are completely mesmerised by them, but its unrequited love. they imagine that the other person is in love with them but really this person knows that he/she is losing the other, but still they want to stay with them. This person is telling the other that they don't realise what they are doing to this person. they are explaining that they would be nothing without the other person.

i think this is about a crazy woman who finds something out about her daughter and is angry at her. she gets so mad she kills her down by the water. she heard her daughter screaming and she was telling her to stop but she didn't. she takes the body home, then realises what she's done. she killed her in the water so she is askin for the fish to bring her daughter back

i love this song. its the best alongside drive on the make yourself album. this song is saying that he is so fed up of all the stuff and people in thw world, but he expects it coz people are so shallow and narrow minded- it makes him just wanna explode coz it makes him so mad. i can relate to this song- when everyone doesn't think about the consequences of their actions.
