It's very clear what this song is about. This girl is struggling so hard to be everything that her man needs, and in the end she just isn't good enough. The guy has treated her like shit, "all that she did was for him", but his love was so "thoughtless and cruel". He obviously doesn't see her anymore because someone else has taken her place. God, its so heartwrenching. I can relate with this girl, just as im sure many of you can. Another thing, don't get me wrong I absolutly love the song "The Fiction We Live", and how he is responding to her despair....but it would've been so much better if she sang another song on the album saying how SHE doesn't need HIM anymore. I mean really, we sit through this song thinking about how bad she has it and wishing her the best. If he doesn't notice her or need her anymore, why is he responding. The man obviously sucks as a person....get back at him, throw it in his face when he wants you back. she doesn't need him. |
