Yeah, fantastic band. First time I saw them live and they played this I was stunned. The bass riff at the end is amazing. Wish they'd come out to California more often, I've only seen them twice. |

I think the strangest and maybe most mystifying part of this song is that it was first recorded in 1997, which means it was written sometime around The Bends and OK Computer, yet I feel it's so far different from anything on either of those two albums, even when I listen to the old versions from when it was still called Big Ideas.
Definitely an amazing song though. I wish they'd re-record an acoustic version of it in the studio with the old lyrics. |

This song is so epic. I only hope that no movies are made that pick it up til I get a chance to make a movie with it. It'd be pretty sweet if it is about Cortez because it goes to show how at least some bands are well-read/educated. |

crossbronxxx is probably right. I just saw them not long ago and I heard the night before I went they played this song and he opened it up by saying how it was about someone getting killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. |

I heard this version before I heard the Sublime version and it was easily one of my favorite RBF songs. Sublime may have created the song, but I think RBF does a great job on it. It's too bad Nowell died, imagine how big ska could be right now. |

I think this is probably one of my favorite Coldplay songs. I don't know what it is about it, maybe because of the fact that it doesn't sound much like most of their catalogue, but I love it.
The meaning is pretty obvious, a relationship where the two involved would wait for each other. |

No, because it's too good of a song to be about drugs. That's what everyone always thinks every song is about, but most of the time you can tell when the songs mean something more. If the song was about drugs, what would the chorus mean in relation to that meaning?
Not saying you're wrong, just saying that it's too common of a hypothesized theme for songs. |

This song seems really powerful but I dunno what it means... I think it maybe has to do with someone leaving something that they don't want to and they're really sad about it and so the world's passing by them and their world is falling apart. The song seems like it's deep but I don't wanna venture any more guesses lest I make myself look stupider. |

maybethebest: I think you're right cuz it talks about "While miles away my mother cries" So I think that might makes sense.
Overall this song is prolly one of my FAVORITE AFI songs, I agree with a few people that he definitely pours out his emotion into it. Kickass song from a kickass group |
