ben admits to having a habit of putting in names that have little to do with the song itself,
i.e. alice childress, a famous writer; has nothing to do with the lyrics to that particular song. as mentioned many times, fred jones was from the newspaper clipping used on cigarette. ben just carried the name over, as his habit led him to do. |

i'll have to agree with lauralaurent on this one, i'd rather listen to "the dumb stan song" 30 times to every one time i listen to annie waits, and this is coming from an obsessive ben folds fan. |
