The Smiths – I Know It's Over Lyrics 18 years ago
This is by far my favorite Smiths song. It's absolutely the most powerful and moving song I've ever heard. It makes you want to crawl up in a ball and cry. Jeff Buckley has a wonderful cover of it, in case you guys didn't know. If Jeff gets the genius of this song, why can't the rest of the world?

Eminem – Cleaning Out My Closet Lyrics 18 years ago
Umm someone asked on the first page about the chorus. The chorus is very similar to quite a few songs. It is extremely similar to John Lennon's "Jealous Guy":

I didn't mean to hurt you
I'm sorry that I made you cry
Oh no, I didn't want to hurt you
I'm just a jealous guy

compared to Eminem's:
I'm sorry, Mama.
I never meant to hurt you.
I never meant to make you cry,
but tonight I'm cleanin' out my closet.

Very different meanings but very similar choruses. It's also a lot like Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody":

Mama
Didn't mean to make you cry.

"Cleaning out my closet" is a great song, but my only issue with it is the chorus, which is so unoriginal up until the last line. I mean, who wants to try and go up against Lennon or Queen?

Eve 6 – Inside Out Lyrics 21 years ago
god i love this song. I first heard the song in a car with my uncle. I wasn't into this type of music then, but the song stood out. Then I started listening to this type of music on my own and heard in on the radio. My uncle died in Dec. so everytime i hear this song I think of the first time I heard it and him singing the lyrics....

yeah...great song.....even better when you're connected emotionally to it

Bob Dylan – Like a Rolling Stone Lyrics 21 years ago
bmx- lol...yeah i get that

totally one of my favoritest songs ever.....

I think it's about a rich girl who had everything and looked down on poorer people (like the narroator) in the song and she lost everything and I like the "how does if feel?" rubbing it in her face tone to it. I'll I can say is Karma. She probably deserved to be low for the way she treated people.

This line is great "You've gone to the finest school all right, Miss Lonely
But you know you only used to get juiced in it"
because it shows how even when she was rich and stuff she wasn't that great, kinda lonely, so she by snubbing poorer people was just doing what was done to her. major hypocrite. feeling the karma.

Good song.....Bob Dylan the genius. nehehehehee

Natalie Imbruglia – Come September Lyrics 21 years ago
this song is totally about lesbians....September is the name of a girl....It's really hard to explain, but I have a lot of reasoning on why it is....If you look closely, the relationship thing wouldn't make sense, unless Sept. was a person who dumped her for not coming out...lotsa proof in there of why...but u can hunt for it urself....hehehe

Natalie Imbruglia – Do You Love? Lyrics 21 years ago
wow....i totally see parents who fight a lot and the child maybe thinks its there fault

Child, it's broke (the relationship of parents)
And I feel you slipping away (feels like no one wants child)
Child, you spoke
And the world fell silent again (the child saying something caused fights)
Do you love
Do you need love (from parents)
Child, undone
By fear of falling through cracks
Child, by one mistake, you've lost your way back (messing up and the child ruined the relationship)

Do you love
Do you need love
When your angels shout (parents ideal fighting)
Is your heart strung out

anyways....it could be interpretted many many ways....i dunno though.....

excellant song

Natalie Imbruglia – Smoke Lyrics 21 years ago
Wow! Lots of comments on this song.....I really wanted to know what the song is about. I've got some good ideas from the posts. I think it could be extremely symbolic. When I hear the song I get this idea for a story (i write stories) about a girl who's parents fight, and the mom left and then there is a fire in the house and the little girl see's her dad trying to escape and the dad sees her but won't come save her, he wants her to die sorta, but the girl gets saved by firemen and she always has to live with knowing the truth.

ok, its definitly not about that, but its a great song, one of my favorite on the cd.
