| System of a Down – Jet Pilot Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
To me, this song is about war, and the people being stupid and not seeing it. the definition of "wired" is: "Very stimulated or excited, as from a stimulant or a rush of adrenaline." so that means that a so called "horse" was watching a jet pilot with his adrinaline pumping, such as when your scared. "My horse, is a shackled old man" Thus defining "Horse" as an aged human. The example "Horse", i believe, was chosen because of the horse being used by people hundreds of years ago as beasts of burden, nothing more, just property. I also believe the first verse is talking about Pearl Harbor. "His, his remorse, was that he couldn't survey, The skies, right before, Right before they went gray" His, being the horse's, remorse, is that he couldn't see the skies. I belive this is implying that an old man saw that something was coming, and even though he warned people, they did not listen. "My, source, is the source of all creation" Thus defining "Source" as God.(Often remarked as female when put into the "one's own perspective", such as when speaking about it in ones own property type of way, like in the song counting blue cars by dishwalla: "Tell me all your thoughts on God, 'cus i'm on my way to see HER". Not in a disrespectful way, but in a unique type of mood.) "Her, discourse, is that we all don't survey The skies, right before, Right before they go gray," Saying that God gives us plenty of opportunity to see what is going to happen, yet the younger generation just ignores it. I believe that the whole meaning of this song is that, We of the younger generation should listen to our elders or society. They have seen things, such as Pearl Harbor, WWII, even Vietnam. Yet we just ignore their warnings and our country continues to get intself into needless war. I love this song. Garrett |
