i dont have anything to back this up but a friend told me that aside from the story being told in the song about the casino burning down that smoke on the water was actually an expression for dropping acid.... hmm.... and smoke on the water is a lot like a bong hit :) |

i love this song... i can just sit and listen to it for hours... stoned or not. the guitars in it are sooooo sexy in this song it makes me want to cream myself haha anyways i think that it is about drugs. i'm sorry to all those fruity pink floyd listeners who try to put the band on pedestals like they're gods and there's no way that they could have done anything bad like drugs... its bullshit. i cant say that they arent gods but it just seems stupid to sit there and fool yourselves into thinking that they were some straight edge guys who just made really trippy music. in the wall roger waters is talking about seeing syd barrett with a cigarette burned all the way through his fingers and he says "it just shows how comfortably numb he was at the time" do you really think waters meant barrett had to get an adrenaline shot? well anyways... i cant really say that i'm right or that anyone else is wrong but thats just my opinion |

this song rocks... i actually thought it was part of another brick in the wall 2 cuz i'v always heard them one after another. i agree with this song so much .... teachers are some fucked up people and its so true that they try to expose are weaknesses. anyways... pink floyd kicks ass... pink floyd kicks ass and everyone should listen to them |
