um... this song kills me. i hadn't heard it until i sang it with my treble chorus. what's weird is that at the same time as we were practicing it i had been talking to this guy and... he admitted that he liked me but he also liked this other girl. but when he said it he used the analogy of roses. and so this song is absolutely perfect. my response of course was: "so i would choose to be with you, that's if the choice were mine to make, but you can make decisions too, and you can have this heart to break". that kills me. um... in case you were wondering he did make a decision and... it wasn't me. so this song is just... so so sad. *sigh* beautiful. |

yeah sarah216. you're right. it's "dissappointed hanger on, who stayed behind while you moved on." i love that cause they make up the word but it just... it fits so perfectly. it's a gorgeous song. i mean i know everyone has used "wish you were here" probably starting with pink floyd, which makes sense cuase the classical rock is allllll through this album, but... this song is just so moving and GOOD. that's really all i can say. and i think everyone that's reading this already knows that... but that's ok. man! i love these guys. *dies of lovesickness* ok. i'm done. i promise. |

i think this is an excellent song because it's written as someone might actually say it. i mean... it's a beautiful song, but the lyrics aren't forced poetry, they're just normal dialogue. i love the idea too because it's something almost everyone can relate to. |
