i have 2 words: SU PERB (ok, FINE, it's 2 words... but i didn't wanna say superb twice and sound stupid... umm). this is SUCH A GOOD cover. natalie's vocals are amazing... and GOD, everything is beautiful on this cover. when i first saw that the chicks were covering on Home.. i was excited and the divas live performance with stevie nicks... was.. eh. just not as good... i think their voices clashed. have you guys ever heard a song live and then heard the studio version? well, it sound SO much better (duh). yeah, so BUY HOME... it's really good. really. |

BUT, i just adore (i hate that word, blah) the cover that ryan adams does... it's amazing. on my version that i d/l it says 'ryan adams and adam duritz' but i can't even hear adam... is this really both of them? my favorite part is the very first 3 lines.. the way he says "high" WOW. -sigh- |

ok.. and now for MY oppinion *drum roll* i think jewel needs to get over herself.. true, she has written some good poetry... but i don't believe she is extremly talented in her poetry writing skills... but she is using her musical talent and fame to show her poetry... which is just fine... because she can because people will buy it cause it's jewel. and if i was jewel and i had an amazing voice... i would love to release my poetry and show everyone... but i think that her musical talent overpowers her poetry... and if she didn't have that amazing voice, she wouldn't be famous for just her poetry. thank you for reading MY fabulous opinion. |

i really don't think this was about jewel's dad... cause i read "chasing down the dawn" and i vaguely remember her not not liking her dad (double negatives=positive). she wasn't pissed at her dad... she lived w/ him for awhile i think.. i agree w/ no angel about the friends dad thing... it makes more sense. but the lyrics to this song are really powerful... and cutting. i can't describe it... but she really is a good writer. |

i reallly like this song... it was weird, i d/l a file called "drink the water" and i was expecting to get that song.. but i first heard this song, then inaudiable melodies and then drink the water... and THEN yesterday, i watched my "september sessions" dvd and on the menu thing... they were playing the version of inaudiable melodies... whoa... that was confusing... it's funny on my version of this song cause at the end he says "gotta funk that one up" or MAYBE he says "fucked that one up" haha... dunno but about this song... lol |

no one has posted on this AMAZING song? the lyrics are kind of stupid... "And we started playing Twister with our tongues / We probably should have scrapped the game and gave ourselves some hugs" well.. actually they're pretty good until that point... haha... i love the chord progression at the beginning though... it's possibly my favorite ryan song. i guess i'm kinda glad he isn't producing (or recording or whatever) this one... it's so cool... and i don't wanna share it... ha. plus i love my live version and i'm afraid he might screw it up if he recorded it in a studio... haha... but yeah... awesome song... question, what does "Wanna dry your eyes with cinnamon and pears" mean? i understand he wants to make her all better... but is there a significance of cinnamon and pears? |
