yeah, the music was never what attracted me to bright eyes, and then i realized that the music tied in. They are about two totally dfferent things. This one is pretty straightforward, lke the calendar... was, but still. just because it has the same beat doesn't mean the construction's the same. i see where you're coming from, though. |

This song seems to be about losing people...famiy, memories, lovers, and wanting desperately to get over it, except take pills anymore. i love all the pill references on fevers and mirrors....and then the curious girl, who's like him, feeling separated from life. It's like the image of being on the outside, looking in, except the opposite. |

usically, best interest is awesome. But their lyrics need to be a little more origina (not bashing them).
Its kind of weird though, the very end where he says :it's not what you are but it's all that you do....It's kind of like he's hanging on to what she does oping she'll notice him, and she's oblivious. Coulda tapped into that a little more (the "i knowi'm not the one" part is great). |

M favorite thing about this song is how i the beginnig the chords are all ff and it souns off-key, then the whole song oounds like any other song wold, until you're expecting another verse and all that happens is the music builds up until "you'll taste it..." but I swear to god the first ten times i listened, i thought he was saying "you'll taste it when you die." it's stil amazing. it would be as good if jeremy enigks voice was more normal. |

I WANT THE BOOK! If the boo,k (claudio's book) never comes out, I'm going to shoot myself because if you really pay attention, none of the lyrics make sense, period. Just the way they sound is fun to sing, espcially if you're pissed: "Jesse, just come look at what your brother's done..." and "she screamed Clauio, dear claudio..." so yeah, that's great.
The reason everyone fights about coheed being emo is because they appeal to people who listen to things that fall under the emo genre (whether or not they'dike to), bt they also appeal to punkish, hardcore people.
Look at the names of the people who post:
aperfectxsonnet- a bright eyes reference. indierock that people confuse for emo.
tsunami glory- as in tsunami bomb, the punk band with the chick singer?
tears.of.rain- this might be wrong, but do you mean the klinks song? which some people call hardcore....

I personally think that last part starting with "I want a boy" is her talking to him, because she ends it with "but life isn't a storybook," and he usually writes things like they're stories, or fairytales. Think about "Padriac my Prince". There was a writer, Padriac Colum, who wrote fairytalish stuff that's close in style to Conor's (someone wrote this somewhere, and I agree). I especially like the part where he says "you didn't care to know who may have been you before." I hate groupies, but man, for this kid.... |

so amazing. the beginning, the percussin feels like heartbeats with basic acoustic, until it picks up in the middle....and yeah, the break down is amazing. if i'm late inthe morning and don't have time to listen to the whole song, i skip to the "two pills" part. it's so amazing. |
