This song is all about skin color determining a person's identity and how he rebels against that stereotype because as he says, "The choices I made were mine! (contrasting the white of cream with the black of his skin) MCUD's lyrics continue to amaze me...oh yeah, and on a side note, the first time I saw them live, he pointed at me for the "sexy little girl" part, great memory for me... And he also mentions the anger of black youth... "Young people sayin' "they ain't havin' it" So? they takin' shit They breakin' shit They tired of the status quo Fittin' to rape yo' shit!" God, this band is amazing...ok, first of all, it is apparently about the guy who toured with them...secondly, he mentions about 4 million little tidbits in there that show how intelligent and well-read he is... *2012 gets mentioned here and in many hed songs cuz of the ancient mayan belief that the world is going to end in the year 2012. *the boy in the bubble is you not barbarino... hillarious only if you know that John Travolta played Barbarino on Welcome BackKotter and also the boy in the bubble in the 70s movie about a very sick boy. *my logic-tight like plato referring of course to the ancient philosopher...the only thing I can say to the person this song was written for is...
