| Nas – Black Girl Lost Lyrics

Pretty self explanatory but, this song hits close to my heart too..just about a young woman who's lost, doing all the wrong things for the wrong reasons. She maybe tried to get it all together (with dreams to settle down, it ain't far from now you're getting interviewed, but your boss is into getting screwed), but she thinks men just sees her as an object, something worthless, and her actions show it. One of Nasir Jones' best. |

I think this song is basically memories from a young woman, anthony's lyrics are symbolism for something else..anyway, I think the girl was in a lot of pain, and started doing drugs to see thing sin a different way, just to be happy. More Will Be Revealed My Friend..I think that the girl thinks she's seen some bad things, but if she stays on drugs, she will see more..now that I think about it, maybe this is a song from a drug's perspective?? Anyway, RHCP are great and they all bring something to this song musically :) |

| Björk – Unravel Lyrics

I think the devil line represents problems, situations, and "haters" that some couples have to deal with. Sometimes, you fall victim to those things ( the devil collects it with a grin our love in a ball of yarn) He'll never return it...they accept the mistakes or bad decisions they made with eachother and although thay can't change the past (he'll never return it), they can start fresh (so when you come back we'll have to make new love)
Another great song.. |

Great song. Bjork is talking to a former lover who, after 5 years, decided he wants to be with her..but she's not having it. Bjork wanted this guy to be straight up with her, but he was acting as if he was afraid of love (for guys, i.e., commitment) and she's letting him know what a coward and fool he is. He said he wanted love, but he proved otherwise. |

| Stevie Wonder – Rocket Love Lyrics

I'm not sure if Stevie Wonder was born to a mother addicted to crack, but this song seems to come from a new born child's perspective:
Cold, too cold, you took me riding in your rocket gave me a star
But at a half a mile from heaven you dropped me back down to this cold, cold world
I think maybe Stevie just reflected on the hardships he had to face being blind. I think he may have been on the brink of death when he was born, almost to heaven, and they revived him. In this song, he's talking to his mother. (IMO) |
