i never noticed all the jesus connotations before, its one of those songs i always listen to but never pay much attention to the words!
but my interpretation of the rest of the song whose words i heard for some weird reason...
the guy is obviously in love with a girl.. and hes frustrated that he cant have her..
the line in this song tho that just makes me LOVE it tho is 'shes not so special so look what you've done boy'. to me thats saying hes making a huge fuss over this girl and shes not even anything special.
thats just my interpretation anyway.. and i like mine cz its just the kind of thing i do all the time.. make a fuss of someone who isnt even all that. |

i think this song tries to break the stereotype - we always hear about love being red and roses blah blah, but for the first time the colour yellow is being used to show that theyr in love. hmm i dunno that mite b it :P |

this song represents to me a guy who says that they are going to do one thing but end never quite get round to it. the whole 'make me high on lullabies' to me means that the guy in the relationship promises her soo much and makes her so happy, but again always ends up disappointing. such an amazing song!! |

this song is definately my favourite on the album. it totally depicted what i was feeling so recently in my life and as soon as i heard it i was kinda captured by the lyrics. this album is all about the lyrics!!!!!! just the little stuff like "she'd do anything to sparkle in his eye" and the whole "till she finds that the heart of a woman will never be found in the arms of a man" i mean its such deep stuff to be coming from such a young woman. am i the only one who thinks that vanessa has gone through a lot of stuff throughout her life?
i dont think the song is about someone in a relationship, i think its about someone who has an obsession with a guy (i should know iv been there...woops) and she knows she has to get over it but cant. yeh go forkyfork!! i get u!!
oh and the 'and as the depths of oceans slowly becomes shallow' for me represents that at first this guy held so much mystery about him, half of the reason she obsessed was cz she wanted to find out more if u get what i mean, but as time goes on, she finds out more and discovers - hes not all that. (hehe yes ok i experienced that 2 lol) ok yeh i ramble... but expect to hear more from me mwahaha!! |
