i think (im probably wrong) that this song is about something, or something that happend to geoff or someone close to him that he feels responsible. we all get that feeling sometimes where we wake up from a recurring dream of some ill-fated night,day,weekend,year,etc. and wish that we can turn back time. i also think that this song is a two part seris. the first song being Dying In New Brunswick, which is a song about when geoff's girlfriend was walking through the streets and ended up being raped and mugged,(the streets still paved with hate!). i feel that I Am The Killer is another veiw to that song, the veiw where geoff is blaming himself for it, he wakes up from the dreams of her being beaten and raped and wishes he could have done something."But you can't change the letters when the ink dries" so he "Hides his face"-dinbw because his shame takes over him.

not to beat a dead horse, but it's probably not that they forgot how to play the song, its just probably difficult to get the right sound out of the guitars live on stage. in recording you have a thousand chances to go back over n fix what you messed up, its not like that live. and also, it might be because towards the end, geoff has some lines in the song that fade from screaming to singing, singing to screaming. thats gotta be tough live. but anyways, excellent song and i can't wait for their new album..woop! |

first off, this and every song co & ca makes is terrific! no matter what they do they seem to please my ears. anyways..a little insight, i read in a current AP magazine that their new cd should be out sometime in september!!!!!!! and also, it will be named " In Keeping Secerts Of Silent Earth Three.." (can't wait!!) i have also found out that in The Second Stage Turbine Blade cd, the two main charecters ( Coheed, and his female counterpart Cambria) have passed away and in the new cd two new charecters will be introduced and will be the start off planning vengence. great story line. anyway's, i listened carelfully and in my opion i belive that Cambria dies in Everything Evil/Delirum Trigger and Coheed dies on Neverender/God Send Conspirator. any one back me up?? |
