| Coolio – Gangsta's Paradise Lyrics

this is an amazing song about someone involved in a gang, especially in the hardass ghettos like the bronx or region park...and its just basically telling the story of how kids..really young get involved in the gangs and the gang leaders give them money all the time which makes them stay ("I'm an educated fool with money on my mind
got my 10 in my hand and a gleam in my eye"). and they also get them hooked on the drugs...lots becoming drug dealers.. But they can't get out of the gangs cause they'd get killed...and he says he's 23 in the song and its true, a lot of the kids are forced to stay in these gangs til they're like 30 or older...or they die. Its a song about wanting to get out of these gangs, but can't...or they will most likely die....either way. |

This song is actually about their hometown...being Peterborough/Norwood, Ontario. Its about growing up and what life was like with their parents...its a very personal song and i can relate to it a lot because i live in Peterborough and that..and go to Norwood a lot. If you look at one of the versions of the song you can see the Memorial Centre and their performance there...The Memorial Centre is in Peterborough and it quickly shows the "Peterborough' Sign...this song is definitely about life in Peterborough/Norwood. |

i think the question is..."What does this song mean to you?" not...who killed kurt cobain...but thats fine. The conspiracy theories surrounding his deaths make you think he was murdered...but i mean when you listen to this song it makes you wonder if he really was murdered, or if he actually did commit suicide. It could be a big suicide letter, afterall he did write it a few months prior to his death. But, then you have to think again, or is this just another one of his sarcastic songs where he doesn't actually mean it...you can't always take kurt or his music seriously, he got mad when people did that. SO, i don't know about this song, i think this is what kurt felt deep inside, and he wanted his story across...no whether or not he actually did go through with his thoughts and "leave" we don't know...there's too much contraversy around it right now to say for sure. |

This song is about when Kurt lived with Tracy, and she'd leave him notes to clean and shit before she came home. It was almost like she was like his mother, but he need to be guided and stuff, so he was alright with that, which is what the "i'm starting to eat my vegetables" reminds me of. |

I think this song is about kurt's rat that he stepped on by mistake, named kitty. I just get the idea that he's talking about the Spider who better beware...because while he was trying to kill a spider is when he stepped on the rat, kitty. Thats just what the song means to me. This song draws you in. It goes from a normal visit to the barber shop to, well...a little more than that. It definitely reflects the horrifying secrets behind a small town (eg- Andy, Aberdeen, etc). Fucking amazing song. Also, if you read the Journals, its actually, "Bell on door clanks, come on in" and I died smothered in Aunt Bea's butt"...whether he altered them during different performances, this is what he originally wrote in his Journals. |

stop arguing about his death. Justice will prevail, rely on Tom Grant those who think that he was murdered, those who don't...let the others realize that he committed suicide. Personally, i have no fucking clue what the hell happend to him, its too confusing to think about it. My opinion constantly changes, this song doesn't help. But this song is so powerful, that its almost like he's trying to say, "ya, i did blow my head off like you always knew i would"...and its scary...and he says, "i have never failed to feel" not felt so well...but i think "failed to fail" makes sense too. But as we know kurt, he always felt the way HE wanted to, not others...but this time, he went over with it and killed himself...i don't know. Fucking amazing song anyway. |

When Pink wrote this song, she was telling everyone what happened to her when she was becoming a Pop star. People liked her voice, but didn't like the way she acted. She is trying to tell everyone to be what they wanna be, they can do what they wanna do, they are what they are. |

It's nice that your fighting over this...great, just great...justice will prevail. But stop fighting, just enjoy the music, let the passion flow, don't bring his personal problems into your passion for the song, thats whats happening and the song is being ruined. As for the song, its amazing, i can't get enough =) The bridge seems right, thats how i view the song...it makes me sad tho...:( |

Guys, seriously...What does the song mean to YOU? that doesn't mean to criticize others...and you guys don't know him personally, so just because you've read a biography on him or two, doesn't mean anything. You weren't in his mind, you don't know what he went through, and you definitly don't know what happened the day he died, so if your gonna make comments on other peoples opinions, keep your mind open. I come on here to read other peoples opinions on these Nirvana songs, not your opinions on Kurt's death, or life, or relationship with Courtney. And personally, its none of your business what happend. All he wanted to do was express himself with what he loved doing, music. And don't believe everything you read anni...it tells you nothing, and stop trying to think you understand him, because no one does, thats the real beauty of him. He's a mystery, like his death, like his music, which makes him so FUCKING AMAZING. so give it up, its not going to solve anything. |

| Nirvana – Sappy Lyrics

I think its a twist to The early version of Sappy, where he says, "And if you say your prayers, you will make God happy". It's twisting your faith saying that if you worship or obey God, it'll make him happy, so you must be happy. This is just a twist using a little boy trapping a bug in a jar as an anology to God trapping us in our world and watching over us, and we are obeying him. Just questions your faith, i guess. |

woah DEVILDOG...thats very good...What kurt had was Bipolar Disorder. Some people in my family actually have this disorder. They are very depressed, and often talk about suicide, however no one has actually gone over with suicide. It's true a lot of Bipolar patients have committed suicide, im just speaking out of experience. These people aren't ignorant, just uneducated and have their own opinions. People should have an open mind. However much we want to defend Kurt, we have to have an open mind and support him if he committed suicice, cuz its his opinion, and seek for justice if he was murdered. I find this extremely difficult because i have equal feelings for both, so i don't know what to feel, or how to act. Having an open mind helps. For the most part, the above is true. I've never heard of the 2nd note, i'll look into that. I just find it extremely frusterating that the authorities aren't helping with the cobain case. I don't understand either, maybe its because there is something that we don't know about? either way, people need to have open minds- main problem here. |

| Nirvana – Aneurysm Lyrics

This is definitley about heroin. Kurt was a poet, and disguised his lyrics quite well (eg. Polly). It's argued that, "I love you so much it makes me sick" is about his former girlfriend(s), however when you think about it its about his "love" for heroin, and it did make him sick. This is an amazing song, and for the assholes who want to express their negative opinions about Kurt on here, its not your place, do it somewhere else. We're here to rave about Kurt's accomplishments, talents, and passion. Sure he did drugs, but what heavy rocker doesn't? And suicide? Don't totally rule out murder. And whatever really happend (suicide or not) it was his choice, his business, not yours, nor yours to comment on. If you assholes putting down Kurt knew anything about him (which you obviously don't) you wouldn't be saying what you are. But its ok, he wouldn't want you listening to his music anyway, he doesn't like you, so Fuck off. |

Just a little comment to forSaKeN cHiLd 's post...If the lyric, "In her false witness, we hope you're still with us, To see if they float or drown" is supposed to mean that if they float then they are a witch...then why in Serve the Servants did Kurt say, "If she floats then she is not a witch like we had thought"? wouldn't it mean she is a witch? Just a little confused here... |

Don't believe everything you read kids...
Personally, i wouldn't doubt kurt's ability to rape a retarded girls...He fucking killed a cat, how low can you go? Well, why not rape a retarded girl!? He's capable. And you wonder why he was so against rape after. Probably felt guilty. It makes sense. Yet again, don't believe everything you read, have an open mind. Ponder this, did Kurt Cobain kill himself, or was he murdered? I don't know. I have equal feelings for both. I believe that he could have killed himself, and if he did, thats his choice, bravo for him. He went through so much shit, he needed to get out. However, he could have been murdered, and you can't just rule that out. go to www.cobaincase.com, good info, all true. Makes you think. |

i think that kurt made a catchy chorus, with an easy and catchy words. So when you go to sing it (for those who don't truely appreciate his music and listen to it because its the "cool thing to do") you make yourself sound like a fool. |
