To me this song is talking about how the singer is lonely, and feels like he is kinda trapped in his own world. He is feeling down and a bit depressed. And then when he talks about "a surgery to purge me of this lonely mood" he is talking about how he is going to cheer up, and focus on the positive. The jefferson airplane and magic feathers represent things that he was trying to use to help him, but that were not really helping him at all. In the end he learns that he can fly all by himself and he cheers up and he says that "i've got with me all that i need" well if you listen to the whole song that is. I don't know what this whole "jefferson airplane demo" is - is it on an older cd? because the new one has a longer version of this song, and it isn't called a demo. Also -- I dont get what stargazer00 is going on about. I mean, this song is a guy singing about how he gets lonely - just because you get lonely, or feel depressed, does not mean you are not a good christian or that you are "lettong go of their strong christian lyrics" -- what is up with people always busting on christian bands for "not being as strong christians" ? I'm fed up with the critizism. This band is awesome. God is awesome. And they do a good job of having a christian point of view on life's realities |

flaky, flaky, flaky? blah blah blah. Can't a christian band just joke around? It's not as if they are being serious. I hate how people are always busting on christian bands like they are supposed to be perfect. They try there best. And as for this song, it's just a joke! have a sense of humor man. |

i really like this band. and i'm really annoyed by people who keep calling them inconsistant and flaky christians. Are any of us perfect? Do you really think that anyone could produce an album that didn't have a few errors? Also, just because they aren't singing "God Rocks God Rocks God Rocks" doesn't mean they don't have praising God in mind. They like to sing about stuff that is happening in all of our lives, and they put a moral spin on it. Girls, Cars, College, Jobs, ect - this is life people. Anyways, there is my rant. Don't be a critical christian. Later days kiddos, and God bless |
