why does every song has got to do with love and romance? i mean for me, this song is about the ironies and fakeries in life. i damn agree to what kavna has said. the Big Machine i clearly the world we're living in. it's a rigid world that has many false truths. yet people are willing to accept it because they need it, they depend on it to survive. it's a total irony. come to think of it, it's somehow like the matrix. the lyrics were rather well written. i like some of the parts where the ironies are pretty obvious. one such part is in the second verse, where he's complaining abt all the bullshit in this world then he ends it with 'oh i'll survive, God it's good to be alive'. how one one enjoy a life that isn't real? another 2 appear in the 4th verse. 'drowning in this pretty world, and ah, who you run to'. this one is gd. imagine, when one is drowing, is it possible for him/her to run to someone for help? he's trying to say there's no escape. the next one is one of the most obvious. 'swallow all your bitter pills, that's what makes you beautiful.' the usuage of an oxymoron. bitter beautiful. beauty is something that youre born with, what's the point of going through all the hardwork? what ends up is often fake. there are many other interesting parts in this song. actually, anyone can interpret this song in anyway they want, i mean, nevertheless, it's their own opinion and might even be their personal experience. but im just quite disturbed about the fact that people dun look at things from different perspectives. |

From the way most of yall interpret the lyrics, the song seems to be about a love relationship. But why cant anyone think of it in terms of a friendship? |
