i couldnt be bothered reading all 100-something comments here, so forgive me if im repeating other people or whatever. When i first heard this song, i kinda interpreted it as quite simply the story that the lyrics make. Just the irony of peoples situation with their faith. How they believe and worship their God and how hes come to save their sins blah blah blah, and what has he done for them? Nothing. They continue in pain with the hope that thier God will save them. "its not like you killed someone..." is like saying you didnt do an awful deed to deserve this yet your blinded by your faith so you "never thought to question why" "he did it all for you" is the extreme irony of what they belive. you know, kinda quoteing what they say. |
