Sure, this song could be interpreted alot of ways... i like that drugs theory.. cuz i do alot of weed and i never really thought i would... Anyway, i see this as more of a depression song.. you never think your going to be in a huge depression, until u are actually in it, youve made a lot of mistakes in judgement... the god you believed in so strongly let you down and isnt there for you when u need him, you lost sight of all hope and turn to drugs and booze for help, but they only increase your pain..your losing friends because of different views... things that used to be so "cool" are just ridiculous and disgusting, you'd rather not follow the trend.. making you independant, but at the same time insignificant, hense the "you'll forget me when im gone"... this song has great meaning to me and i loop it for hours on end, along with Cursive - The Great Decay... ITS THE PEOPLE AROUND US THAT KICK US DOWN (shows you how "friendly" they really are to you)... i could go on and on about this song cuz it describes my life to the T... in the game of life, we are all rookies.. and its our actions and decisions that dictate our future... ive been swallowed deeply enough by my decisions that ive seen my future and can honestly tell you...
