Gov't Mule – Banks of the Deep End Lyrics 21 years ago
This is a great song paying omage to the late bass player of Gov't Mule, Allen Woody. I especially like the imagery created by the phrase "deep end." One meaning is that Allen Woody was the deep end of the band playing bass. Also, it is used to represent the afterlife and the person's friends coming to the bank to get one last look. A great song.

Led Zeppelin – Four Sticks Lyrics 21 years ago
Although this song would not make the top five or so of the album it is still a very good song with spectacular drums and a solid guitar riff. I definitly would not skip it on any account.

Led Zeppelin – Achilles Last Stand Lyrics 21 years ago
Even if the song is not specifically about mythology there are many allusions to Greek myth. This ties in with many other Zeppelin songs relating myth to life.

LP I like your attempt to interpret this song on a deeper level than what it may appear on the outside. Whether you are right or wrong it is refreshing to have new ideas out there.

Jethro Tull – Thick as a Brick (Parts 1 & 2) Lyrics 22 years ago
My understanding is that this song is telling the audience that they shouldn't rely on their "sportsmen" or "Biggles" to solve their problems. They have to go out on their own, "join their local government" and do things to affect their own fate.

Jethro Tull – Christmas Song Lyrics 22 years ago
I think this song is telling the listener that Christmas is more than a time for "thoughtless pleasures," but more about the true spirit of Christmas, and what it is all about.

A great little song.

Thank you BrainDamage, for being able to get past the literal aspects of the song and seeing the abstract meaning.

Jethro Tull – Wind-Up Lyrics 22 years ago
This song sums up exactly how I feel about organized religion. Ian Anderson does a great job of pulling from his childhood as well as other areas to create a voice for the people who may belief in a spiritual after-life, but are fed up with Church doctrines.

A great song all around.
