to BMX ryan360, I am pretty sure it was the husband that was cheating, and its from the wifes point of view. since in "Priest and Paramedics" the wife killes the husband. and in "rehearsal" whe says " I guess I could be bigger but I'd rather make you pay" |

most of the songs that David writes are fictional, thats right they are stories. but he is a very convincing story teller so I can see how you would think that "Winners Never Quit" was about David. If they were about him, then he would most likely be in jail for killing someone right now (never leave the job half done) and drunk driving (to protect the family name). |

Fix. this song just shows how addiction can make you think that you have total control when in fact, the drug is in the drivers seat. David displays an addicts attitude perfectly. the up-beat tempo is nice too. |

I believe that the Diamond Ring is refering to eternal life in heaven. that jesus offers us life in heaven as long as we believe that he died on the cross to save our souls. well, thats what I got out of the Diamond Ring metaphor... |
