this song means quite a bit to me, it makes me want to cry. i see it as Scooter speaking of a time when an ex g/f did something cruel to him. after my ex broke up with me she slept with her friend on a Sunday night, and called me and told me about it b/c she needed someone to talk to about it. and from that moment on, i was emotionally dead. and everytime i looked at her for a long time after, all i saw was her doing that to me ("Black Sunday still burns you in my thoughts...") this whole album is amazingly emotional and it's something i'll cherish for a long time. a very long fucking time. |

well, whenever i hear the first line, i think of the first girl i loved, she was a Sagittarius ("Fire" sign) and she was hot, but she killed me emotionally. And pretty much Shaun is talking about how is eaten alive by his feelings for a girl that makes him whole, but then takes away constantly. "I suffer when i dream" in all honestly, we are only truly free in our dreams, and since he saw himself with this girl in his dreams, it hurt worse, b/c he had no confidence that it would come true. |

I've been through what this song is talking about. I've been waiting for a band to write songs like Seether has, and this song truly proves they could be the next "Nirvana" that we have been waiting for. "Your Bore" is about either wanting to be or actually being in a relationship, but due to the "Girl's" attitude, you feel as if you cannot please her. And not just sexually and financially, the root of this song was written from wanting to be with someone and actually proving that you could come close and be important to her, you actually felt like you were something special that no one else was, but that feel doesn't last forever, and that's what this song is about. He feels as if nothing he says will satisfy her mentally, and he wants to so badly, until he finally realizes that she doesn't care, that's where the bridge comes in "I Hates what you are/I'll break you and leave you scarred!" Life isn't worth the pain of relationships, and Seether has proven that, take comfort in your friends/family/music, b/c in the end, that's all that matters, and that beautiful girl you wanted so badly and thought you would have forever, was nothing but a lie, and she'll be with someone else before you know it. Don't regret anything. Don't look back on anything. It's that simple |
