For some reason...i can't make an opinion on this song. There are like 1000 meanings that this song could have, it just depends on who you are. To me, I see a man in a field or somewhere peaceful thinking about a lost relationship, or something he lost. Then all of the sudden he recieves some kinda guidance (If there's a bustle...). Sounds crazy, but hey i don't care. I mean i like this song but i guess i like other zeppelin songs more. This wasn't even the first zeppelin song i heard. I think the first one i heard was rock and roll, and didn't really care to much for it (still don't). The song that really got me hooked was Over the Hills and Far Away. I think Stairway may have been the third one i heard. just i don't know what to say about it. It's a great song...but i think it could be over-rated...i dunno...have a nice day |

i'm pretty sure jimmy page wrote this song, but i agree w/ you that it's about 1 girl. i like the live 26:52 version on "The Song Remains the Same" album. It's so fun to listen to. Twenty-Five!! if anyone has Kazaa, you should download the music video that MTV did for this song. It's got a great collection of about 4 or 5 different concerts where they were playing this song, and they blended them all together. Some of it is kinda cheesy, but for the most part it's good. I love watching it cuz robert plant is my role model :) |

Holy mother of all gods...i don't know y only 1 person has commented abou this song!?!?! This, out of every Zeppelin song i've listened to, has gotta be the one that has fiddled my fancy. This song makes me wanna be a rocknroll star. I love the design of this song. It has no main refrain (like many other Zeppelin song), goes into sort of a dreamy type sound in the middle. I love the words. Reminds when i just started dating this girl that i've already dated 2 times. Well that's all i gotta say. hope someone else can say somethin about it too |
