The bit that goes, 'hanging of a branch...' really reminds of this Jain proverb (which I can't find at all now on the net, it was in a book) about desire and so on, something like, a man is running from a beast and fianally finds a tree to escape into, and he is hanging from this branch, thorns in his hands, danger below, but in the tree is a bees nest and honey is dripping into his mouth and that is the only pleasure he has... but if he would just climb up into the tree he would have all the honey and be safe and happy. The tree being god. I tell it badly, anyway, thats what it reminds me of. |

This is a perfect pop tune.
And it was my soundtrack when I was sweet 17, love the lyrics, nostalgic and sort of self pitying. Love it. |

saturnine, foie gras pate is made by force feeding the geese, it's very cruel, i suppose it goes with the torture theme.
this song puts me in a very strange mood. the first time i heard the album, it was on in the background and i suddenly felt very strange, lazy and hypnotized, i didnt know what was going on until i realised it was the music.
it's strange also, it reminds me of twin peaks (the tv series) probably from the sad piano bits. but it sort of relates to the first couple of posts, about a strange community, if you see what i mean. |

I read that this is a song for Thom Yorke's son. I do believe he is named Noah; 'You'll build an ark'...
I wasn't keen on it at first but it's definitly grown on me, it seems more magical now I know it is sort of a lullaby. Reminds me of story books and kids poems. |
