like most perfect circle or even tool songs, i believe it has a double meaning. such as the drug deal, and the concept of the person tricking his way into anothers heart just to satisfy his lust.

first of all, to ROCK...linkin park is nothing like disturbed...not saying either of them are bad at ALL. disturbed is my favorite band, and i also really enjoy linkin park. im just saying they arent really alike. but disturbed is a good recommendation :P |

one of my favorite songs ever. i've listened to this song since i was a little girl. and i think it is awesome that disturbed re-did it. disturbed is one of my favorite bands. and draiman said the singer was happy with the re-make and was glad the song had the edge and heavyness that it was meant to have. |

this song is amazing..i never really got into tool or apc much before, but lately in the past few days, they are all i can listen to. im so interested in their music and maynard. its almost like i cant pry myself from it all. And i also agree with the meaning from toolshed.down.com, at least its what it means to me. i have much respect for maynard and the artists he works with in tool as well as apc. great people. gotta love 'em. |

i know this is probably..deffinately, not what the song is meant to be...but this is how it is to me. but isnt that what songs are for? to relate to its listeners and be viewed in different ways?
the singer, narrator, whoever you want to call them...is someone evil, in a way. but he falls in love with a girl, someone who is in a tough, depressing and mentally saddening relationship. so he decides he wants to have her, he promises to take care of her...but she must be his, and only his, forever. the girl is hoping someone would come and take her from a relationship that is mentally destroying her, and promise to take care of her, and make her feel wanted...lol, i know its an odd interpretation, but i actually had a dream about this. lol
