| Sarah McLachlan – Perfect Girl Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
one of my fave songs. this song, everytime i listen to it, seems to tell of someone who is taking a step back from the relationship with someone who has a lot of issues to deal with, and it is with this distance the partner should work himself/herself out (a task that the girl feels should be done alone). Perfect girl hopes that in time, her partner would fix him/herself up (realize that Perfect girl should be loved as who she is-- free from all his expectations. I love how in the chorus, she tells her partner just how to do that-- to let go (of the expectations), to let yourself falter, and that to know that whoever you are whatever you do... you are loved. really good, this song. |

| Sarah McLachlan – Fumbling Towards Ecstasy Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
at first i really dont give much favor to this song coz i like the song fear more but after a while, the line "i wont fear love" kept on playing inside me. after playing the song over and over did i finally accepted that yup- im ready for love. to me, the demons in a way represented what i felt on the song "fear". the fear of not giving anything in return, the fear of unfamiliarity. after i "danced" with my demons did i understand what the song is all about. i think that the playing with the demons is about the idea that, yes you now wont fear love but you would also entertain the demons in your head in the process. maybe it is in admitiing and accepting that there are demons (fears, insecurities, hangups, etc) inside you that you get to be in the road to love. i mean you just can't wake up one day saying "i dont fear love anymore." it is in accepting and dealing that there are demons in you that you would, well, fumble towards ecstasy. just my opinion :) |

| Sarah McLachlan – Prayer of St. Francis Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| i love this song. everytime i would feel down or in need of strength, i would think of this song and just feel better. i also think its cool that the song is really a prayer. really gotta love her | |
| Dave Matthews Band – Everyday Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| though i agree that the new (and hopefully temporary)DMB sound is too radio friendly. | |
| Dave Matthews Band – Everyday Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| this song is cool no matter what other people say about the song or the album, for that matter. this is a good song to finish the album- you just want to do silly things like...well...as the song suggest- jump in the mud (this jump in the mud thing, if you would get the vibe of the song- that is just what you would do, even if the song wouldnt say something directly; well to me it did :)) | |
| Sarah McLachlan – I Love You Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| everytime i would listen to this song, i felt like time had just stopped and that i couldn't breathe, in a sense that the words are going straight inside me- the words flowing inside my heart. It is only on the line: "i couldn't find the words to say i need you so" do i only let out a sigh and actually feel back in time again... i really love this song. | |
| Dave Matthews Band – Spoon Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| i like this song too. it was nice to hear alanis but it would have been super if Sarah McLachlan did the vocals. Do you think it would be possible if they would sing together? That would be one cool teamup | |
| Texas – Inner Smile Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| this is one cool song. you can't go wrong with this one. the video is equally cool- gotta love sharleen :p | |
| Sarah McLachlan – Adia Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| from vh1 storytellers, Sarah said that this song talks about her "problems in dealing with feeling responsible for everyone else." adia is her (to why she named her adia, she just said that she likes the sound of it), and she talks to herself with this song. eeky people would actually think that its a gay song (theres no one left to finger), but said, theyre eeky so theres no surprise there | |
| Dave Matthews Band – Where Are You Going (Busted Stuff version) Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
i dunno but if you listen to the instruments and to the melody, it is very Crash into Me. i like how the lyrics portrays honesty in a sense that a man tells what he can not give to someone, but despite his inadequacy, he assures that he will always be with her. ps its kinda romantic yet impractical (imagine, having someone who only promises to be with you). pps i like AmyKate's opinion, one of those read-between-the- lines thing :) |

| Sarah McLachlan – Angel Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| did sarah actually gave permission to let westlife sing the song. their version is absolutely hideous. this song is about connection, the ability to touch different in so many different ways. it can mean a lot of things: drug addiction, death, comfort, hope.... and the song is nothing without sarah's voice (though she wrote the song, it still feels incomplete without her singing it). i have nothing against westlife, but their version rapes the song from its essence. | |
| Sarah McLachlan – Black Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| this song (from the Solace album) is deliciously creepy, taking you to a more edgier (darker) high. | |
| Sarah McLachlan – Ice Cream Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| this song is simply about feeling good; and to me, that is what love is really all about- like a good ol' ice cream in a hot sunday afternoon :) | |
| Sarah McLachlan – Fear Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
this is one, if not one of my most favorite of all Sarah Mclachlan song simply because it has clearly defined what i most fear in life is- the possible rejection of true love brought by its unfamiliarity. One can sometimes be so accustomed to the loneliness that it has consumed your system, but still, one wishes that the loneliness would eventually end. But if the sweet moment of true love will arrive, one (at least I am) afraid that due to the lack of experience, i will insecurely throw the chance of happiness away. But the desire to get away from the loneliness is strong, but the fear of losing losing (more) is stronger. "but I fear I have nothing to give I have so much to lose I have nothing to give do you know what i'm feeling now?" |
