Underoath – It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door Lyrics 21 years ago
I think that this song is about the guy bringing a significant other or some sort of female girly-friend to Christ. Like the part when he says "Tonight is the night that I set love aside" I think he means like taking a break from being like boyfriend/girlfriend to bring her to God and whatnot. And then at the end it's like after he finished ministering to her and he says "I made sure you were buckled in, now you can walk hand in hand with Him" and it kinda sums it all up there nicely. I like these lyrics a lot cuz my friend is kind of going through that right now with his girlfriend and there having a very hard time with it. Which sucks but it'll all be ok in the end. So yep that's my little idea on it.

Blindside – Silence Lyrics 21 years ago
I dunno but when it says "It's well known that the cross is only a burden" and "Then how come my shoes are so light" it's kind of ovbious that this is about God. And in other songs like "pitiful" when it says things like about putting nails in your hands etc. etc. It's extremly obvious. It's also ovbious that they are christian band when they talk about spirituality at there shows. I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade here and I guess you can interpret this however you want, but it's clearly written for God.

Atreyu – At Least I Know I'm a Sinner Lyrics 22 years ago
Hey Atreyuisfinggood, I think it's pretty funny how you are sitting there saying how good these song lyrics are. You know why? Because at the same time while your talking about this song, which is against playing god(judging things) you are judging an entire genre of music. It's like your trying to play god of music or something. I mean what were you actually thinking when you posted that? Maybe the reason why you don't understand any of AFI's lyrics is because you’re too thick headed to interpret them. I like a lot of different types of music from hardcore to indie to classic rock, and I don't go around judging other people for listening to what they like. You’re not going to change someone by shouting lots of profanities at them.

Thrice – See You in the Shallows Lyrics 22 years ago
This song is about this guy's faith in god. Thrice is a Christian band and all of there members are Christian so if one of there songs is even the least bit Christian sounding its obviously about Christianity. This song is comparable to a leap of faith. He says the water looks rocky and all that and he’s not sure if you should do it or not but he does anyway. Now to everyone that says it’s about succumbing to the pressures of society this is for you. If it was about that then at the end of the song would it say "don’t we all look so content?". Meaning that he has jumped and loves the decision he has made i.e. being with Jesus. This is a battle many people fight with and all of you reading this should hopefully win.

Hopesfall – The Far Pavilions Lyrics 22 years ago
This is one amazing song. In my opinion this is one of, if not the best melodic hardcore songs of all time. But my thought on the meaning is it’s about dieing and going to heaven. Since hopesfall is a Christian band and the title suggests that they are talking about heaven it’s obviously of a Christian nature. The part about friends is just saying how friends here on Earth and there love for you can die away, but the love that Jesus has for us will never falter. And basically, by saying the thing about the cold and unfamiliar place, he’s just saying how much better heaven is than Earth. Earth is the place that he hates, and he can't wait for the day that he dies so he can finally be with Jesus. And I think that also the transition from hardcore to melodic at the end is symbolizing what it feels like here on Earth to the peacefulness and tranquility in heaven. Well thanks for reading, feel free to IM me.........
