I personnaly don;t think that the 'skin and bones' is referring to a weight or health issue or anything, its the fact that biologically we're all the same, just skin and bones if you will, but she's special beacuse her skin and bones have made something beautiful. And as for Chris looking dumb he looks completely different in the videos for every song on Parachutes. |

Its not just Christianity, It's all organised religion. Hence fuck 'Your God'. Not everyone believes that there is one god. Anyway I think its about using a religion and/or a higher being to take responsibility for the good and bad in the world. Though I think someone may have said that. |

I think that the song is almost about abortion in reverse. The baby getting rid of the mother, or at least all feelings of love for her so he can kill her. He has to remove the 'Umbilical residue Keeping me from killing you'. The first stanza is the only part where my description falls apart really, lol. |

Well here's my tuppence worth (I'm English, I don't own 2 cents ;))... Basically I think it almost draws parralells with 3 libras. Its about loving someone indefinately who is to scarred and dead ('Sleeping Beauty') inside to feel he/she can love you back. Then some event, or realisation occurs to make you realise that they are far to gone or poisoned for you to heal, and you and them both realise that it is 'hopeless' to expect anything to come of this. I'm unsure, but I've chosen to think that the 'Far beyond a visible sign of your awakening' could mean that only time (a lot of time) could ever heal the scars and you feel that you don't think you will be there to see it. Though I do like divineblindclown's take on it |

I think its about a girl, who for some reason has suffered an immense loss, and she feels that it was because she wasn't good enough (couldn't afford the view' might not be entirely literal). She's basically holing herself in, and not leaving her apartment, but because of this reluctance of outside she's blocking the one thing that could make her happy and she doesn't realise this ('she can't see straight'). The pop up book is about looking to something that made her feel good once for an automatic cure, and its not happening, and she's going insane trying to figure out why it can't make her laugh any more. Though I could be completely off the mark as I may have put a tad of a personal spin on that. |
