mxpx always has fascinating lyrics that take me a while to notice because the music is just so great to me that it over powers the lyrics. i love mxpx.
and yes, drugs are retarted. i can be stupid just like people are when they are on their high from their drug...without the health risks. plus, anything that makes you feel THAT good and gives release will make you feel horrible later on, so why do it???

when jagged little pill first came out i wasn't a smart person when it came to music. i just listened to "ironic" over and over again. when my music sense finally came to me i listened to the whole cd and this song made me cry. dammit, i cried. the lyrics are strong and the message is stimulating. sad song. |

right, so i'm not a fan of avril at all, but this song has strong lyrics...i just wish i could respect avril more as an artist, but i can't if she doens't have the voice to speak up and say, "fuck you, i wan't to write my own songs and not get any help from cowriters."

when i first heard this song it was on my friends brother's mix. we were in guitar class and i just started pissing in my pants because the song is so great. his sister and i had the same teacher for history (she had us history and i had nsl govn't). this man was the most racist mofo i have ever met in my life. he would just bluntly come out and say, "i don't like spannish people." a teacher...a fucking teacher!
anyway...so my friend and i started to sing this song in the middle of his class daily. yup. he hates us. |
