| You know, the lyrics of this song were posted on a friend's journal, and the lyrics are what inspired me to listen to it in the first place, and this band kicks ass. I can't wait to see them preform on Warp Tour this year! | |

| Okay, this is the only SouthFM song that I've had the chance to listen to, however I like it a lot. The singers voice is very good, and the music behind..anywho, what I'm mean as short as possible is: it's a kick ass song | |

Alrighty. Since a lot of people have put in their two sense, I believe it is my turn. Mmmk, first of all, I beleive the song meaning is exactly as Dancing Potato so greatly put it. Her thoughts match mine. Now, onto the whole teeny bopper thing. I believe that people have the right to listen to any kind of music they please, in all different combinations, and they should expect not to be critized about what they listen to, even if they do listen to someone such as Britney Spears, and then they go and listen to a band such as Alkaline Trio, it just shows that they are open minded enough to listen to more then one genre of music, and don't tether their tastes to certain kinds of music. For example, I listen to all different kinds of rock music, yet I still listen to classical, country, and the occasional Jazz. With that said however I do agree that money ruins the music. Once more money is involved not only does a band have to worry about the sound of the music to their liking, but the sound of the music to get more money. What sells. They start transforming the music that so many have come to love, just to fit the mold to fit such made by things like MTV, making MTV a bad place. They stop thinking about the normal things, the things they should be thinking about, and whether it expresses what they what to express, and start thinking things such as, "Is this the sound that is in? Will people buy this CD with this sound?" And yes, a lot of bands do break up when money is involved. Bringing another reason that MTV is a terrible place. Now, don't get me wrong. I am a girl of many tastes but I trully dislike it when MTV takes a band I like, and molds them into something new. It makes their new shape one I dislike, and no matter how many original lovers of their music try to get the old shape back, they fail, causing them not to like the music anymore. Which is the main reason once a band becomes as they say mainstream, that the older fans begin to dislike the new stuff, not because of the new fans, but because of the effect the new fans create. Which why people begin to hate the band because they become famous, rich, or mainstream. Which answers the question asked by El Steve-O. Now, my opinion may differ from all of you. But I have a right to free speech and my own opinion, and that is a right I plan to use. So, agree with me, disagree with me, it doesn't make a difference. These are my words, and my thoughts, and I NEVER said that you had to agree. Mmmk, I'm done. |
