A beautiful ending to another fantastic album. I'm impressed. Now, my interpretation...
Consider this. In ASCII, the lowercase letter "a" is hexadecimal 61, or 0110 0001 in binary. That's 8 bits for a single letter. Consider how much you type or text every day and multiply every character by 8. That is a lot of bits! In case you hadn't guess, I'm referring to the line "And all we are worth is just zeroes and ones". The reason for my above explanation is to give you an idea of how insiginificant one bit is in an entire message worth of text. In the grand scheme of the universe, that is exactly what each of us amounts to: Jack Shit. However, these people keep reaching for more money and more power in an attempt to combat that insignificance and make themselves feel more important. This song occurs at the end of the world or maybe just at the end of the lives a group of particularly greedy individuals. They see that all of the respect they commanded with their fancy possesions, all of the people they stabbed in the back to make their way to the top, all of the cheating, stealing, lieing they have done... In the end, they accomplished nothing and ended up in the exact same place as everyone else.
Sorry this got off on kind of a tangent. My point is that this song is about insignificance. Just to let you know, there are well over 11,200 bits in this post alone, and the systems used to send it contain far, far more.

Hmmmm... I'm thinking there's something more to this track... I tried reducing speed and tone at different intervals and it seems that there's more voices than just the one you can hear without modifying with it. After my modifications to it, it sounds kind of like chanting, but I can't discern the words enough to try translating it... Anyone else try modifying speed and pitch at various intervals?

Although it sounds pretty straightforward, this song could mean a variety of things, but they have a common theme: dependence. It's not necessarily about a girl depending on a guy. For instance, look at the religious aspects. It could be a reference to the catholic church, or in fact christianity in general. "...Makes no sense you know he can't guide you..." Maybe the "he" they're referring to could be Jesus? Maybe he can't guide us to God, he's just a figure that keeps humanity in line. This probably isn't what Kittie intended, but just pointing out that simple lyrics can contain a wide spectrum of meanings. Just my 2 cents.

This is the story of my life. It's amazing how the words flow so perfectly with the music. Because of the "perfect days", I almost forget about my constant state of depression and the prison my mind builds itself. As far as "Why can't you go away?" goes, I don't think they are talking about a person in particular, but maybe something inside of themselves.... This is just my interpretation and i want to hear what other people think, so please post

I like songs that can be interpreted (sp?) more than one way, and this is one of those songs. At first I thought it was about someone mad at a girlfriend and wanting his life to go back to the way it was before, then i noticed "Sometimes I just feel like screaming at myself". Maybe the problem is not the girl, but the guy. I have a situation in my life where I screwed up a relationship for another girl... this is what I feel like saying to the other girl... "JUST GIVE ME MYSELF BACK AND DON'T STAY!"
