I think it feels really powerful that this song is written & sung by a woman who in the past has not necessarily been that man-friendly but now is showing that she kinda feels a bit sorry for our poor damaged egos in a post feminist society (but at least does understand how we feel). |

I'm not sure I agree with previous comments about how wonderful her partner at the time is, I think he is unimportant. I think the song is primarily about the insecurity she feels and the way she can't help but focus on negative events and is unable to see the good things in her life. |
