| I hear ya Nate. In my opinion, the more basic "double-bass" version where you hear the voices in the background make it much more jazzy feeling. Not to mention the flute has a great almost hip-hop feel. | |

Okay, I guess we all got that G Love did this a long time ago (back in the mid-90's) for an album and that Jack Johnson (gettin' popular in 2003) is getting credit just now. Bottom line is this...anyone try to sing it while reading the lyrics? He is definitly the kinda guy that writes words and makes 'em fit. Great rythm and style. G-love sounds incredible alongside Jack. Does anyone else see a common theme in some of Jack Johnson's songs? Disdain for binge drinking and frat-boy behavior. Oh shit, Wait till he sees his fan base. Song meaning: People who drink and follow crowds - bad; people who're homeless - good. (How does he think all of those homeless became homeless????) |
