I want to say this is a metaphor reflecting upon closing ourselves off from the rest of the world, for whatever reason, but I get this feeling it's not metaphorical. It's quite literal. Oh well, I can relate to the song the way I want, too. One of the best Weezer songs... |

I think that "The Giver" thing is sheer coincidence...
Anyways, this is one of my favorite songs on the Blue Album. To me, personally, the lyrics are either some homage to childhood that only RIvers understands... or, a very vaguely-written metaphor that I won't get anytime soon. Oh well, great song, nonetheless. |
