the meaning of the song is awesome, but i dont think the lyrics are. i also (WATCH OUT THIS IS AN OPINION) i also think she shouldnt sell herself as a skater/punk, if her songs aren immenent of it. She does have guts though. Please dont start a fight over my comment, remerber, you dont know me you never will, so my opinion shouldnt matter to you. |

i really never liked eminem at all.. he pissed me off so much with his moby comments.. but at least he speaks (what in his mind is) truth.. and thats sumthing i cant say for any other mainstream artist ... this song is amazing .. his voice sounds .. real.. and i like that.. hm. |

ive read shit that asks britney what this song is abut and its suposed to be about being a slave to the music business and trying to escape it or sumthin... uhm.. isnt that why she is a multimillionaire? she doesnt want to be independant ... and if she was seriously trying to right a meaningful song about the pressures of "being a slave to the music business" she cold come up with a different phrase than "im a slave 4 u" which brings images or whips chains and handcuffs to the mind.. slut |

ok .about all the teeny bopper stuff.. im 14 and i listen to punk and emo mainly.. but a little bit of everything on the side.. i dont buy every item of clothing i own from goodwill or hot topic or whereever.. am i not punk? i own a nsync CD from years ago? am i less of a punk than you? i dont hang out with alot of people who have the same musical tastes as me becuase i choose so.. does that make me undeserving of "your" music.. yes i under stand what you are saying.,. it makes me mad when the preppiest kids at my school like one song maybe by dashboard or what not and clal themselves a emo punk fan.. but one of the main objectives of "punk" in the first place was open mindedness and breaking down labels and barriers.. sum bands do sell out but if u like the music and so do "teenyboppers" .. are u gonna ditch the band?... just rember its about the music.. and just the music.

ilike avrils songs and her lyrics.. and her style shes pretty and stufff... but her sound is just as pop as most ... i still like it tho.. its not really punk sounding . maybe cus its from the voice of a girl? |
