| Muse – Apocalypse Please Lyrics

Looks like everyone is going to get a 1st Grade Education. First and foremost the word Apocalypse is defined as meaning a "revelation of something" or revealing. It does not mean "the end of the world" it does not mean any of that. so Apocalypse Please. is saying "Revelation Please". Secondly the words used are "proclaim" and "declare" so there is obviously a message or Truth that has been revealed and the end of time is soon. " proclaim eternal victory". There is only one message of eternal victory the world has seen, and that is through Jesus Christ. So regardless of what they have stated publically to make their record label happy, there is an extreme message they push through their music. I mean the word Absolution is a theological term it pretty much means "forgiveness, especially of sins".The song isn't just saying that there is a message and its an emergency but that this message is "absolutely" the only thing that will "pull us through" and change the course of history. If you look all through out Muse's lyrics there a biblical parralells everywhere.
In reply to "ninja Kitty" i agree that this song has nothing to do with religion that is because Jesus Christ is not the Founder of a Religion he is the founder of a Revolution unlike anyone this world has ever seen. One armed with love compassion, unity, and self-sacrifice for all race, gender, sexual orientation, nation. And in that way people will get but a glimpse of what the Creator of this world his character, his aspirations is like. That they might turn from their desires and choose Him for who he is. The word Religion comes from a Greek word that means there is something physical that you have to do to please God. The difference with this Jesus is that he has stated that there is absolutely nothing that we can do to be in right standing with God and that is precisely why He had to come. So technically there isn't anything Religious about this at all.
so i agree "use this chance to be heard, your time is now"

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men."-Mathew 5:13
Has nothing to do with Capitol. The spectrum is a lot broader than that. Its saying that we have chosen death itself. That we as people are just allowing doctors, false love, corporate filth to persuade our every choice with out ever choosing ourselves. That we as people are letting other people make our choices. That we don't even have a voice anymore for anything. This is extremely dangerous. |
