TBS19 I'll take a crack at this one... "And I dare you to forget the marks you left across my neck from those nights when we were both found at our best" He's basically saying that they shared amazing nights together (doing whatever, kissing, talking... the marks across the neck are probably hickies) and he's daring her to forget about them because he knows that she can't. Now when he says... "Now I could make this obvious and you you could deny me all in one breath you could shrug me off your shoulders" He's saying here that if he just came out and told her all of his feelings for her then she might tell him that she doesn't feel the same, and just shrug him off her shoulders like he never mattered. Which would kill him, so he'd rather not do it at all and just tell her to forget about him because she obviously isn't as into him as he is to her. |

| Wow...that is so sad. I've never looked at this song in that way, but I guess it fits perfect. I know what you mean though. It's like your heart is being torn in a hundred different directions. You would give anything to be with that person, but know you can't so you would give anything to be able to stop thinking about them. Well hang in there. As time goes by things will get better and your ex will get over you (hopefully) and it will get to the point where it won't matter if you and this other guy are together. And let's hope he'll still want to be with you then too. But from the way it sounds (especially from this song) he's fallen just as hard. Hang in there babe! You'll get your prince someday. | |

I love this song!! 'People can be so cold. They'll hurt you and desert you. Well they'll take your soul if you let them.' So so true...and I've let it happen to me too many times. Sometimes it's nice to know that you really are cared about. |
