That's wrong rocker, it's "Hey, Hey, What Can I Do." And the revert back to some previos comments as to the meaning of the song... I personally think it is about a hooker, despite the compelling points about the charges being figurative insults and whatnot. If the song were meant as a series of insults and berating claims, I don't think it would sound nearly as somber as it does (and we can all agree that it sounds VERY somber). Instead, I think the sound projected is one of depression over the fact that his lover, due to the nature of her occupation, is simply unlovable in the relationship that he desires. And I think that merely being a slut would cause a different sort of reaction than what the lyrics and tone depict. Just my 2 cents... I could be wrong. |
