This song doesn't necessarily have to do with sexual temptation. Dustin is obviously struggling with some kind of sin and this song is showing his frustrations with it. His reference to Romans 7:15 in the first verse illustrates this.
And the line "I wanna kiss your lips, but I kissed your cheek" is Dustin talking to Jesus. He wants to kiss his lips (a sign of intimacy and a close relationship) but instead he kisses Christ's cheek (the traitor's kiss, like Judas Iscariot) He's explaining here that he keeps failing.
This is an incredibly emotional song and one that was probably written at one of Dustin's lowest points. He's ready to be done with the struggle of living a pure life on earth. I tip my hat to his openness with his struggles. Because all of us can sing this song at some point or another. |

I love everything that's going on in the song, but I can't quite grasp what's happening in the last two stanzas. Is he just contemplating doing something or what? I wanna know what he's doing with a sawed off shotgun. |

You'd think there is some reason to name it that though. The only thing i came up with is that he wrote it in a parking lot, but i think Chris probably has some meaning to it so i dont know. |

Well, I think he's talking to someone who he doesn't have a very good relationship with. They can't communicate very well. The person says "your eyes have all the answers" and " your getting warmer" but he says that to the person too. There aren't too many lines in here that are different.T heres definitely some emotion in this. You know what sucks...these guys broke up. How come all the good bands break up? These guys and Mineral. Gosh. |

This is just another song showing how great of a christian Chris is. I love how he's not afraid to just say it. He can't wait for Jesus' return and neither can I. |
