Jump, Little Children – Cathedrals Lyrics 23 years ago
Wow...that's all I can say about this song...but I will say more (-: This song is able to take a physical building and portray just how amazing and beautiful it is simply with just its lyrics and music. I can't wait to sit in a cathedral and listen to this song like amateurboy has. Talk about truly profound experience!

Magazine is such a great album! It can go from a mellow song like Cathedrals to this one so quickly. The way they show sex in such a raw way is awesome. I can relate to the feelings in this song so well!

Jump, Little Children – Violent Dreams Lyrics 23 years ago
This is a beautiful song. A friend of mine lost his mother a few years ago and he told me once that this song describes perfectly the feelings of sitting in the waiting room of a hospital, not knowing if the person you love will be allright. Just thinking about that while listening to this song just shows you what an effect a song can have. This is one of my favorite JLC songs for that reason.

Grandaddy – Miner At The Dial-A-View Lyrics 23 years ago
I love this song (I love this entire album actually). But the meaning of it seems to be overpowered by the feelings it conveys. I guess I can see it as a view of ... ya know, actually, it's a struggle to put the meaning of this song into words. I'll just go back to enjoying it for what it is...just a great song.

Granian – Whole Again Lyrics 23 years ago
Amen Granianfan! I've been a fan of Granian for quite a while (through several line-up changes now) and this is a great song. John Mayer on the other hand...ugh. I used to be a fan of his (well before his current following), but then I saw him in concert and I must say that I wasn't impressed anymore, unfortunately. Oh well, long live Granian...in some for or another.

Clem Snide – Moment In The Sun Lyrics 23 years ago
Yeah, I agree with Snizz on this one. I've heard from several sources that this song is making fun of Jewel. It makes fun of her lyrics and the topics of her songs (and other songwriters like her). "I think that hunger, war, and death are bringin' everybody down." What a great way to point out the obviousness of topics like that.

As for the Ed connection, I don't think it has anything to do with the true meaning of the song (they cut out the la la la parts). I think they were just going for a low key song, catchy song for the show. This song definitely captures the whole mood of Ed.

Guster – Demons Lyrics 23 years ago
Actually, when this album came out, I had just broken up with my girlfriend and this song definitely struck a chord, but not quite for the same reason as a lot of other people here. For me, the song was about being in a relationship where you feel like something has been lost. So you continue to go on, saying things the other person wants to hear, even though you don't truly mean them. What a great song!

"When I speak I cross my fingers, will you know you've been deceived?"
