| A lost lover being lied to, going through all of love's torments. Whether paranoid, or really being lied to, you decide, I guess. I was surprised to see these kinda songs from In Flames, but I love the guitar work at the start and end of this song, fantastic! They should have remade Biosphere '99 ! Ah well ... guess it's too love-like for Colony, although it probably would have fitted on RTR, heh. | |

| Hmmm, I liked the original Behind Space too, when Dark Tranquillity's Michael Stainne was singing ... the lyrics haven't changed, but when Stainne says "We are now entering dimensions behind space!" his voice changed, on this, Friden doesn't change his voice ... which is the only downside. The instruments and vocals otherwise are definately improved. The Lunar strain album was generally about dark fantasy worlds and creations, this is no different ... good song, whichever version you listen to. | |

A very hard song to get a meaning out of ... it tends to scatter just when it's on a main point, stilla great set of lyrics and a great song, though. Whoever they're talking about is an extremely dark and mysterious, definately dangerous person. Words like "voyeur" adding a sickness and perversity to him. He seems one of a dark clan, who feasts on the night and lives in it. Perhaps simply a story of a demon's journey outwards, also, he seems to be running away from problems(to rouse a sacred confrontation) and, as is the theme of this album, this is the start of the degeneration to becoming part of the Jester Race? |

This isn't really a memorable song, but it is a simple one to analyze. It's all about the sight, sounds and experiences many of us are missing in the constant rush for achievment and supremecy. The best line, in my opinion, is: "Why do you see me as an enemy?" It seems to sum the message up, in a sense. We're the same race, we just think different, yet those who think differently are considered strange, when maybe they should be considered gifted. |

This song didn't immediately hit me as good, but once I listened to it a few times, I really got into it. In my opinion, one of the best on the Clayman album. The meaning I get from it is that the narrator has made many mistakes in his life trying to better his standard of living, but in doing so, has destroyed himself. But, it seems as the song closes, he still hasn't really learned the lesson. |
