| Bad Astronaut – Off the Wagon Lyrics

Off the wagon means to begin drinking again after you had quit, so I think it's safe to say this song is about someone picking up on old bad habits. I don't think it's about joey, as it sounds more like an accusation than a confession. |

Well, since to be off the wagon means to start drinking again, it's safe to say that this song is about someone picking up on old bad habits. Don't think it's joey, because the song sounds more like an accusation than a confession. |

Great song from a great band, and I also references Built to Spill's album "Perfect from now On", which is a band I like, but is also another indierock band that signed on to a major record label. |

Yeah, it's kind of apparent that it's about Lullaby. Most of the lyrics are taken directly from the book. |

| Lagwagon – Max Says Lyrics

Max grows up and realizes his prays aren't getting answered and realizes god is not real. Inbred= Religious beliefs that are passed on and inherited within families. Not that he is fucking his cousin or anything like that. |

I think this song is more of a statement on friendships than the relationship in question. Probably had a bad "falling out" despite the guys efforts, and now that the girl has moved on and cares little for the guy("I doubt you'll hear about it") she does things that drive him crazy, and his friends use no "discretion" when informing him about all the things she does now that she isn't with him. That's his "obsession", not coping with the one he'll never reach. |

Another prevailent theme in lagwagon songs: Someones inability to take care of themselves. I assume this song is about a person who complains a lot about her problems and how bad her life is but makes little effort to improve these conditions. |

| Lagwagon – Black Eyes Lyrics

I think the song is about american family values, and how false ideas about the reality of the state of our world are crammed down our throats from the moment we are born, and as we grow we begin to realize how untrue these statements are and how we aren't living in a happy disney world like we're lead to believe, and this song is about how joey has dealt with that reality vs. what he was brought up to believe. |

Well, you guys have good imaginations, but I think that it's about what many lagwagon songs are about: substance abuse, and how it can ruin friendships/relationships/lives. |

| Hellogoodbye – Dear Jamie... Sincerely Me Lyrics

I kind of understand the "think of somethng to contest with inside jokes and all the folks who've got much more to say" part. It seems when you meet someone they've already got their little inside jokes and what have you with other people, which can be intimidating when you're just some nobody to them. |

| Lagwagon – A Feedbag Of Truckstop Poetry Lyrics
| 22 years ago

I don't think it's about someone that killed themselves, I think it's about him trying to convince someone they're headed down the wrong path("we could sit down and have a moment and talk about your suicide and i would put away your death if you could put away the dope") As in, he would quit trying to convince the guy he's killing himself if he would quit doing drugs. The nostalgia part is about looking back and realizing he couldn't change him and he either a)died or b)never changed. |

These lyrics are extremely wrong.
It's not "go find your car...." it's "Go faster car, 3 feet per second", "The crackle and your voice move in harmony","Where'd it go? No one knows..", "It's not impossible to get closer with miles between"(It's a song about long distance relationships after all) "In flip flops we take off, and she is golden" |
