I definitely think 'this guy' is him... and the relationship had been going on so long that he lost his best friend, and now he has himself as his only and best friend. |

I think the line "and I don't believe in God so I can't be saved" is referring more to the fact that Christians rely on God to pull them through tough times, that he's there to save them from all bad things. And since he doesn't believe, he can't pretend God's there to help him through it. |

| Straylight Run – Existentialism on Prom Night Lyrics

I haven't read through every single comment, but as I was going through, I didn't see any that were even close to my idea.
In existentialism, there is a human need to make choices, but choices lead to angst (anxiety and depression). To me, this is more of having to make a choice on prom night, and then being anxious about the outcome of that choice. Does that make sense to anyone else? |

This song pretty much sums up everyone's life.
In the middle during that solo on whatever instrument... does the beginning of it remind anyone of "The Knights of Camelot" from Monty Python? |

This is my first Five Iron Frenzy song I ever heard... way back 4 or so years ago.. And now everytime I hear it, I remember the impact of how God is never going to stop loving us, no matter where we turn or how much we sin. It's just so amazing how much He cares for all of creation. |
