Why do I always perceive KOL songs to be about hookers?
"Rise and shine all you gold-digging mothers, are you too good to tango with the poor poor boys"? |

In response to the whole "Bush" thing...
I'm pretty sure that the only anti-bush songs are clearly Holiday and American Idiot, whereas the rest of the album is unrelated to our government, but related to society. |

I think what fruitonpie said was a good interpretation/synopsis of the album. But I also think that the storyline also is about getting older--when you are young, often you are more like St. Jimmy, and older you are more like Jesus of Suburbia...and I also think that the end of the song is cynical look at either troops coming home from the war or the 4th of july.
Green Day wants us all to be St. Jimmy's forever, is what im getting from this song.
But this poor analysis is clearly just scratching the surface, which is one reason why this album is amazing--the content has so many layers and is thought driven, rather than just poppy money making crap. |

The whole album is a cynical "Rock Opera" that relates directly to American life. This song applies on that level as well as other more personal levels, which is the main reason why it is good. |

My favorite Eve 6 song.
I think what the narrator is trying to say is that he needs to break up with this girl, but he thinks about the things he will miss about her. |

I think this relates to being in High School, like many other Eve 6 songs. The narrator seems to be on the outside looking in, outcast by his peers. He also wants this girl in white he speaks of to love him but he is unnoticed...at least...thats what I got out of the song.
What I'm sure of is that I can relate to the song very well, and I think that's what most bands want: their fans to be able to connect. |

I think that a few of the songs from the Foo's are definetly about Kurt...but I also think that a lot of the songs which are "supposedly" about Kurt are not. I think Dave Grohl loved Nirvana but he's over it--he's in a new band and has a new life. Judging from this, I'm sure he writes about new experiences he has had. Dave also doesn't seem like the kind of person who dwells on misfortune: he is very optimistic. |

This song makes me feel ready for anything the day may bring.
I'm not even that much on an R.E.M. fan. Weird. |

I think its about getting caught in someone's mind games, and caring about what they think about you; at least...that's what the song means to me. |

This song inflicts exposures burnt in my mind. I love it--for some reason I always think about sitting on top of the hood of some car, while staring at the stars. As the song speeds up, a meteor shower begins. Beautiful. |

True Zeppelin fans get the fuck over this song and realize that many of the others are much better. I'm not naysaying "Stairway To Heaven" but its overrated. |

The end of the video where the pilots are joking makes me laugh every single time--its pathetic, yet so hilarious. |

I agree Milo. It makes sense if you just think about the innuendos; every one has an explanation. I don't understand how "done done, on to the next one" relates to the subject though. Any thoughts guys? |

I dunno what "I pass the boats and Kingdom" means....but whatever. Everlong is great and all, but there are a lot of better songs on "The Colour and Shape"--including this song, Monkey Wrench, and Wind Up;just and opinion. |

The distortion on the guitar adds a unique effect to the song. This is probably my favorite track on "There Is Nothing Left To Lose". "Aurora" is just one of those songs which puts you in a good mood. |
