| I remember the first time I heard this song, was when PJ toured Australia in 1995, it was March and I saw them at Memorial Drive, the song didn't have a name but it sure did appeal to me, I was 17 at the time if my adding up is right and it espressed all my anger just perfectly through the music, a bit like killing in the name by RATM a few years earlier. I bought the bootleg for that show about 3vweeks later and the song was called 100 pacer. | |

| I think this is one of the best ever PJ songs. Absoloodle one of my favourites!!! Great music and intelligent lyrics like "The full moon is dead skin, the one down heres wearing thin" Just makes me angrier at what we human do everyday to this planet. | |

This song always makes me think about Cobain. I think that I saw Ed wearing a t-shirt tribute to Kurt on a TV show, could have been Letterman or something and Im pretty sure he sang this song. Anyway it could also be that my memory is playing tricks again!! But still reminds me of Kurt. PLEASE A NEW ALBUM SOON!! AND COME BACK TO OZ SOON TOO!!!! |

For a different take on the song consider it as being one written from the band to the fan. A bit like that Jackson Brown song, Stay a little longer or something. Only a LOT better. The first verse could be about instruments and songs The chorus could be about playing live. Even more so if you change the lyric from we were but stones to we were five stones. The last verse could be about long days on tour between shows!! |

Hey peoples!! Does anyone else out there think that this song is also related to Rearviewmirror!! Seems a little strange to have a line about shades in both songs. Daughter- Shades go DOwn RVM- Finally the shades are raised. Could it be that Eddie is talking about his own battle with dyslexia?? Maybe its just about child abuse? |
