word. i'm pretty sure this has to do with the band in general and his love for it, ya' know? His heart stays in the lead, meaning that his heart will forever be with glassjaw ;-). and home is where his heart is, on the bus.. meaning that his home is on his tour bus with the other band members. "we were the best of friends, i'll go no where." meaning his best friends are his band members, and he's going to stay with 'em.. although i don't quite understand his past tense form of it :-/. and the call at the end from his mom probably shows us that his band is more important than his family. or that his band is sorta like his new family.. i don't know. :-X
i could end up being wrong, and it could end up being about michael jackson, or some crazy shit like that. glassjaw is known for it's not so obvious underlying messages.

"you shouldn't have passed before me" tells me that one of the band members younger siblings, or daughters passed away... but im just assuming shit. amazing song. "I will defy you. The evil from above." tells me that whoever wrote the song is angry at the "evil from above" aka god :-P. i am too.. :-D |
